Franz von Sickingen (1481–1523) was a notable German knight and one of the most prominent figures during the early Reformation era. He is best known for his role as a military supporter of the Protestant Reformation and for championing the cause of the imperial knights in Germany. Sickingen was born on 2 March 1481 at Ebernburg Castle, located in the Palatinate region of the Holy Roman Empire. He was the son of Schweickhardt von Sickingen and Margaret Puller von der Hohenburg.

William Tennent (1673–1746) was a Scottish-American Presbyterian minister, best known for founding the Log College, a theological school that played a crucial role in the early American religious revival known as the First Great Awakening. Tennent was born in Mid Calder, Linlithgowshire, Scotland, in 1673. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1695 and was ordained in the Church of Ireland in 1706. In 1718, he migrated to Pennsylvania and in 1726, he became pastor of the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church in present-day Warminster, where he served until his death.

John Flynn (1880–1951) was an Australian Presbyterian minister who made significant contributions to the welfare of people living in remote areas of Australia. He founded the Australian Inland Mission (AIM) to provide spiritual and practical support to the isolated communities in the outback. This organization eventually split into Frontier Services and the Presbyterian Inland Mission, which continue his work today. One of his most remarkable achievements was founding the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Dr. Samuel Henry Kellogg (1839-1899) was a highly influential Presbyterian missionary to India who played a significant role in revising and retranslating the Hindi Bible. He worked alongside William Hooper and Joseph Arthur Lambert, both of whom were also respected missionaries and scholars. Due to his exceptional command of Hindi and Sanskrit, Kellogg’s contribution to the Hindi Bible was so pivotal that no replacement was appointed after his death to continue his role in the project. He was a prolific author, and his works span theology, linguistics, and comparative religion.

He is best known for his “BE” series – a set of over 50 Bible commentaries and devotional books such as Be Joyful, Be Obedient, Be Mature, and Be Real, which have helped millions understand and apply the Bible. The BE series cover every book of the Bible and are widely used in evangelical circles for devotional and teaching purposes.
