Marcellinus (likey between 250-260 AD – 304 AD) was the Bishop of Rome. This period saw the church being deeply rooted in faith, emphasizing adherence to the teachings of the New Testament church without the later development of Catholic doctrines and practices. The faith was largely defined by personal commitment, communal worship, and alignment with the scriptures. So, in essence, the early church of that era remained deeply connected to the original teachings of Christ and the apostles, staying faithful to the gospel without the influence of later Catholic practices.

Hermann Gundert (1814 – 1893) was a German missionary, best known for his significant contributions to the Malayalam language and literature. He lived and worked primarily in Tellicherry (now Thalassery) on the Malabar Coast in present-day Kerala. He compiled the first comprehensive Malayalam grammar book, Malayalabhaasha Vyakaranam (1859), and later produced a Malayalam-English dictionary in 1872, both of which played a foundational role in standardizing the language. He was the one who introduced the punctuation marks – full stop, comma, semicolon, colon, and question mark – into the Malayalam language.

Marilou Hobolth McCully (1928-2004) was an American missionary and devoted servant of Christ, best known for her work in Ecuador alongside her husband, Ed McCully, during the 1950s. She grew up with a strong sense of faith and a passion for music. Her life was a beautiful testament to love, service, and unwavering faith in God. Marilou and Ed moved to Ecuador in 1952, where they worked with the Quechua people at the Arajuno mission station. Despite the tragic death of Ed, who was brutally killed in 1956 during Operation Auca among the Huaorani people, Marilou continued her journey of faith and raised their three sons on her own.
